Chalaka. I know, because my Sefardi grandsons had them. I remember I was in Israel for the first and we davened Shacharis in Rav Ovadiah Yosef's Shul so that my son-in-law could get Rav Ovadiah to do the first snip. As it happened, Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar was also there that morning and he actually did the first snip and Rav Ovadiah the second.

My brother in law used to daven at R.Yossef's shul (when he lived in the area). He was my brother in laws 3rd son's tsandak. He will attend and participate in brit milot, chalakot etc for just about anybody and everyone that attends his shul. Which I think is great because you'd expect the man to be very busy.

Right after Shacharis, Rav Ovadiah goes into his office (an ante room off the Shul) and fathers queue up with their sons for the Rav to do the "snip". My grandson asked Rav Ovadiah for a candy and he refused. My grandson wasn't very happy about that!

Mazel Tov Enora. My own family cuts the hair after about a year to a year and a half. My son-in-law waits until my grandsons are 3.
