What's more annoying is fumbling through all the "party" birkonim to find the sephardi ones! It's like 20 years ago they didn't even print out sephardi benschers! When I married in Brooklyn in 2005 I had the choice between 4 styles of sephardi birkonim. The guy had to go shuffle in the backroom to find some... and they kept asking me if I was from Deal! grrr

Now they make many with both versions. Or just one or the other. Plenty to choose from.

OTOH, I did once get a lovely birkon as a present, it was a big and expensive one, not something that could have been given out at a simcha.
